We Register Our Trademark to Protect You
YOU CAN’T™ is more than a phrase. It’s a shield — against censorship, co-option, and authoritarian branding.
We registered the mark not to gatekeep, but to ensure no one can twist its power away from the people who made it meaningful — you.
We do not enforce the mark against protest, parody, education, or personal expression. We only protect the symbol when someone tries to steal it for hate, profit, or power.
What We Allow:
- Non-commercial protest, art, and solidarity use
- Remixing or adapting the message for advocacy
- Free sharing via social, print, banners, and zines
What We Don’t:
- Commercial resales that distort the message
- Political weaponization by those we resist
- Unauthorized rebranding for private gain
The Legal Bit (But Clear):
YOU CAN’T™ is a registered mark under 15 U.S. Code § 1111.
We reserve the right to challenge misuse that threatens clarity, intent, or integrity of the message — especially if used to confuse, co-opt, or silence.
Why This Matters:
Without a trademark, they can take it from you.
With one, we hold the line — and let you carry it forward.
This is your message. We just protected it first.
If you're with us — you can. If you're trying to silence us — you can't.
